Oslo trip

Recently I had a very emotionally necessary and short trip back to Norway. There has been a lot of changes in my life recently and going back for a little bit seemed to be exactly what I needed!

I stayed for two nights with my dad and three nights with Jenny. Jenny always makes the prettiest breakfast tables so it had to be photographed, yet again. We spent the days hanging out  and going out in Oslo. We rewatched old episodes of New Girl and bitched about things needing bitching about and whatnot. It was awesome as it always is with my girl.

We went to a Christmas market in Oslo. It would have been so awesome if it had been snowing, but it didn't. Instead it was just slippery and insanely cold. That didn't stop us from having the best time obviously. In the end neither of us ended up buying anything or eating anything, but y'know, it was still fun and all!

Girls in Oslo - Nightime Edition

In the evening, after having spent the whole day with Jenny, Marit came to spend some time with us as well. She was running in an annual race in Oslo the day after so she wasn't drinking much. Jenny and I were convinced we'd get her drunk eventually, but she didn't budge. To be fair, I never really felt drunk enough to go out-out either, even thought I must have drank a whole bottle and a half of wine. It was just one of those days when no matter what you drink you'll, unhappily, stay sober. Jenny was the only one who was feeling larger than life. She was chatting to everyone while Marit and I made fun of insanely hilarious people dancing. They actually got everyone else dancing as well, they were so funny. Some people came up to us outside the bar and asked about how long we had known each other because by the way we were communicating we looked like we went way back, which is true. I just never would have guessed it was noticeable, especially considering we never spoke to them before they told us that, they could just see it.

At some point during the night a man spoke to me and Marit, he was sitting right behind us and he was saying something about Oslo that I couldn't hear, then I said something about being a Bergen tourist in Oslo and I told him that we were Bergen tourists in Oslo too. He was sitting with a girl and she started saying that we shouldn't pay attention to him and just ignore him to which he replied that we should just ignore her because she had been in and out of psychiatric hospital so many times. I started laughing straight away and looked at her assuming he was joking, but she was kind of avoiding eye contact and said "not that many times." That nearly killed me. Later on, I recognized the guy behind the bar because he used to work in a club in Gran Canaria when I lived there. He was so appreciative that I told him I recognized him. When I left he even gave me a high five from behind the bar and told me that he'd see me soon, "real soon!" I didn't have the heart to tell him that the chances of us even meeting at all were so slim that we were likely to never ever see each other again. So random, though! At least he said he was very happy here, happier than in Gran Canaria which is hard to believe, Gran Canaria is paradise.

After coming home we smoked and chatted until the sun came up. <3

Girls in Oslo - Daytime Edition

I traveled to Norway a few days ago and have had a very tight schedule. My dad got married recently so when I arrived in Norway he picked me up at the airport and we spent three days together. Him, Ana (his wife), my grandmas husband and myself that is. Unfortunately I forgot to photograph anything at all. We had such a great time and went out to eat quite a few times so I wish I had at least photographed something.. Ah well. After having seen him I traveled to Oslo to spend time with Jenny. Herself and her boyfriend has bought a great Oslo city apartment that I was so excited to finally see. It felt wonderful to spend time with Jenny and catch up. We went shopping together and ended up buying the exact same dress. The shop assistant was wondering if we were going to be bridesmaids, but we happen to be going to two different weddings at the same time and have similar taste. It was pretty special to be able to spend the whole day together, I don't think we've done that since we were teens or traveled together. I was ecstatic to have some girl time in Oslo. Oslo, of course, never disappoints. I love the food in Oslo, I feel like I can always count on quality and taste on the food in the restaurants.

After our shopping day, Marit came and joined us for the evening, but more about that later.. <3

Oslo you so pretty

After spending some time with my dad and grand parents, my dad and I decided to spend a whole day in Oslo which was super lovely. I really like Oslo a lot. I'll share some pictures from our venture.

We spent the day walking down Aker Brygge, looking in a modern art museum and shopping at Karl Johan which was so packed of people, it was like being in Time Square. We ate some ice cream and sushi. I had such a great time! I love Oslo a lot, I have so many great memories there. If you know where to go, it is such a great place to hang out.

It was such a nice and easy going day. My favourite part was spending time with my dad it's really easy going and just like old times, he used to take me traveling when I was younger, but we never travel just us anymore. I also haven't eaten sushi in forever, there is no sushi restaurant in Gorey so it's been a while so it was a big highlight.

Happy new week <3
